"Hacked" DLC - the New Plan (comments please)

You might need to consider not doing this. I know everyone wants to make their own cool items, but I've seen A LOT of people against this. Those people don't really understand how it works though, and they're telling everyone that these will brick their game. Some have even wrote letters to Nintendo. Of course Nintendo's response was as good as "We dunno" because it was something like this:
"We haven't tested these items but as far as we know they're dangerous, so don't use them."

Everyone seems to be complaining about it. First because of all that, and also because now everyone's wanting/selling/buying lightsabres and not any other items. It's flooding the boards of most forums out there.

If you use Geckos, Homebrew Channel etc etc. Then you know the risk and reward the can provide. You know how to back up saves, and other precautions to take. I say keep it amongst the HB Community. Even though that will be impossible too do.

From what i can tell only complete morons are afraid of hacked DLC now, there was just a big uproar the day it came out because no one understood the situtation, but it has settled down for the most part since then. I've explained to alot of people that there is nothing to worry about, and since the main worry of everyone was not having open slots to have nintendos crappy DLC, releasing DLC this way would probably be ok with most people except for the extremely "legit" people since DsPet is in control. We will be able to make much better DLC than nintendo anyways.

I agree with Emo, They would rather take Crap DLC then HDLC then just screw them.

Also Legit players are spreading rumors that HDLC cause saves too brick, Which is a Lie, So if their trying too say **** about HDLC we should just go on with HDLC. Their is no use changing their idiotic minds.

There will always be people who hate on hackers/cheaters it will always be something. You will always see people who just insult people for playing a game how they want even if it doesn't effect them. When the game came out there were people insulting others because they didn't want to wait for 6 months to play in summer saying they were ruining the game for them. But on the other hand theres been people saying all these things they want from hacked dlc cause they know nintendo can't deliver, like a samus arm cannon slingshot. Nintendo isn't ever going to do that and i've had people i don't even know aim me asking if i can make hacked dlc for them, i can't but it just seems like a majority of the community would be happy with quality DLC as long as we can keep it under control.

DsPet would be a fool if he turned this project down. Their will always be people who criticize, If I have a chance too make a DLC item of course i'm not going too make it look like crap.

That's ironic. I had people on ACC swarming me for a lightsaber, calling me an "awesome hacker" when I gifted them it, although I'm just an end-user. I told them to worship DsPet instead, lol.

They asked me about it, and I cleared up their doubts and told them to tell their friends these hacked items are fairly safe.

DsPet, don't get discouraged from this project because of some lead-headed fools out there being pissy because you're doing something awersome for the community. You're basically making Animal Crossing history here, keep up the good work.

Maybe I'll get a usb-gecko for my birthday, anyways and contribute to the scene instead of being an end-user. If I dont, then I can't wait for the Item_Tool to become available for non-Gecko owners.

On the site suggestions boards, there are like 3-5 threads with people asking for them to "ban hacked DLC"
