AR DS, Allow name change for AC:WW?

Is there a code I could add to be able to change my character's names on AC:WW?
My GBA Max Duo failed on me as I didn't use it in over a year now.

Download map editor. It lets you make codes for stuff like that.

Yeah... Not too great at making codes, do you know if one like that is already released?

Maniac has one but he isn't releasing it anytime soon. Your only choice is to use animalmap. What do you want to change your name to?

Ohh, nevermind, got my AR Max Duo to work.

Now I just need to change my town name, unfortunatly, my original town name has the star symbol in it so Animal Map 1.8 won't let me edit it.
Is there a way around this?

There is, but it's hard to do. You can probably figure out the value for a star by looking at the copied text mod thing, then if you knew which part of the code changed the first letter, you could change it to a star. But we're both too noobish to do that probably
