Well how come it worked for me normally and on wi-fi/ds to ds? (I did some tests) And why would people "fake" de-seeding! And it clearly worked when I do and when they do it. You should try it your self, then try to make a point. Someone asked me to remove a gracies car seed and when I did it they didn't see it but when I dug holes where it was a dropped items, when they came in and out it was gone. It's on youtube everywhere on how to do this, search it up. Also I removed my town hall (but didn't save) and I could drop patterns, etc. on where it was.
