Okay the letters in your inventory can be of a few different types.
I have found the addresses for each letter and will be documenting what types are what etc..

0- no mail
1- blue letter
2- unopened pink letter
3- opened pink letter
4- blue "written" bottle mail
5- unread bottle mail
6- read bottle mail
7- unopened green letter (delivery to someone??)
8- opened green letter
9- Green blob (see it to believe it)
a- Green blob with numbers
...
weird ones
If you like you can write xxxx by changing the address
(2)21d8012 to (1)21d8012 0000xxxx
The results can be unpredictable and weirdly cool.
5555 - Green "ES" with name "All"
4444 - blue bottle mail
3333 - Ehh.. weird shadow blob with name "Remove equipment"
Be careful when writing anything greater than 8.
Some will freeze the game when you try reading them.
