I have not made any decision whether to distribute this item or not.
And when that time comes, I will be using DiiLC tool for distributing any HDLC (so I could ask Pete to help with letter and present).

It is an umbrella, so making it an OHDLC experimental DLC would eat up another new slot.
I'm ok with adding more OHDLC item type slots, but I'd rather there be 2 or 3 alternatives when we first launch it (like the 2 colored Demon Masks and Dimento Mask). That way the 'market' can decide the most popular alternative (eg: the 'Dimento Mask' appears to have won).

For example, an umbrella with this wreath, one based on the Nintendo wreath (released in 3 days) and maybe something else less seasonal (remember this item will live in a DLC slot forever). Just a suggestion.

BTW: I haven't played AC:CF in some time. How does this compare to adding a wreath pattern to the regular umbrella ? (which forces you to have an edge around the umbrella when carried or in the house)

My opinion: I think it's a good item. But for a public release it haves to be better.

I think it would be awesome if you distribute this terrific HDLC through the DiiLC. Since DSPet has not released any new HDLC in sometime now. I'll be looking forward upon the release of your HDLC!!! BTW, Great job!!

I am following DsPet suggestion on this one, so here is a set of pictures to show another umbrella (smiley umbrella) that I will release along with the wreath umbrella (they will occupy the same slot, i.e. a slot after blue carnations). My plan is to release them alternately (one day for wreath umbrella and other day for smiley one, and repeat) through DiiLC starting perhaps around this weekend (up-to the end of the year). This is assuming if I have a time to assemble them. As usual, real life will take higher priority. Enjoy.

FWIW: that's what Nintendo had to do when it released the red and white team hat on the same day.

Suggestions:
The official Nintendo wreath is now available (see latest EZ_DLC_Install). The wreath model is separate from the stand. Please try turning it into a umbrella as well.

IMPORTANT: Please rename the items to end with " HDLC".
That was a compromise to keep the DLC haters happy back in January (you can argue that nobody cares about HDLC or AC:CF anymore, but IMHO it is better to be upfront and advertise what it is for the newbies)

Please make the item catalogable. The item slot is going to be used up and it will spread to all users. We might as well make the item easy to obtain for people once they are "infected".

And finally, please send me the final 8K DLC data for any released items so I can add them to EZ_DLC_Install.

==> FWIW, I am not sure why there was a need to compromise, and IMHO, that will not make a HDLC hater to change to be a HDLC lover (or at least be non-hater), as we know now. Since the space for the item name is limited, I think it is better to use it appropriately.

==> My items are designed to be uncatalogable (that is perhaps an indication of HDLC), sorry. Each individual item that exists should be created by a wii-brew user.

I hope you are OK that we could differ on these thoughts or viewpoints.
