things that will probably not brick your wii: Cios's, wads (from wehackwii.com), bootmii, preloader, any games, (unless you turn off during installation)

sonic,the problem was the wii speak not being detected,and i allready knew you had to be friends with someone to talk to them,ive seen that site you gave me and ive also seen the site that sora gave me, i just didnt want to install anything cuzz i didnt have preloader then,now since i upgraded and installed preloader i felt a little better when it came to installing stuff on my wii,I JUST DIDNT WANT TO BRICK.
and you kept on say stuff about have to be friends with them to talk to them,

well at least i got it working,without bricking,but now when i play the backup the music and sound freezes, "for a few seconds" on wifi when i connect or join a game,any ideas?

That's not what I meant. You could have downloaded an ISO that has been scrubbed and WiiSpeak was taken out. There have been some cases of that.
