Need Gecko os help

For some reason i cant seem to install Gecko on my wii. Everytime i try it says it is an invalid app for the wii. Help!!??

You're using homebrew right?

If you are using the homebrew channel it sounds like you have an older .elf file instead of a .dol. Go to wiibrew.org and they have the .dol version of gecko os I think, I just install it with the homebrew browser, which is on wiibrew.
