Unless you or someone can edit the bitmaps of a glasses item to look like that I currently dont think so :\

Say what you mean, mean what you say, and let your actions speak for you.

Is it possible to rip 3D models from other games and put them in Animal Crossing? (if they are in a .brres file)

    re: hat editing
Hat editing is a little trickier. You can use them like a tool or a furniture item for now.
Also any more elaborate editing will require true 3D model tools.

    re: advanced 3D model editing
As mentioned, the tools are relatively primitive. You can easily chop off "PolyGroups" that you don't need, if you are lucky enough to find a 3D model that is close to what you want (eg: the folk guitar, but not the electric guitar).
Major reorganizing or adding something new is not currently supported.
Similarly .brres files from other game are probably not compatible, but see if "LMT" can read them just for fun. This also raises copyright issues.

    re: 2000+ models.
    Available for now here: http://www.aibohack.com/nintendo/all_item_brres.zip
File is 10.5 MB (NOTE: Nintendo copyrighted material - straight from the game ISO; Arguably a 'fair' use to use with AC:CF since you have a license to use it when you bought the game; not a fully working game, so not piracy)
NOTE: next version of "LMT" will do a slightly better job of automapping the textures (and give a UI for tweeking them). In the mean time you use LMT to open the .BRRES files to find ones that are good starting places.

    Your guess is waaaaay off...
I'm using the USB Gecko version in the US...

Maybe I'm following the instructions wrong... O.o...

EDIT: Btw, this problem is for the FIRST SD card swap...
