> Is DsPet really making a DLC_Tool for custom items?
No, that must be a very old post. If interested check the archives. A general purpose DLC creating tool is way too complicated and dangerous.
Summary of the current state of things: (1 year anniversary)
The current process is to use the item editing tools (ITEM_Tool and LMT by me, or others like SZS_Modifier), and make up something cool. Test it and refine it on your Wii (USB Gecko recommended, but you can do it with regular WiiBrew and a lot of SD swapping)
If you come up with something cool, post it and/or send it to me. I'll clean it up where necessary, and release it as OHDLC (unless it is totally lame).
Then after we have enough candidate OHDLCs, we'll have an informal vote to pick the best one/ones to release as permanent HDLCs.
[BTW: I need more items, so if you figured out how to use the item editing tools before, please consider dusting them off to make something new and cool]

NOTE: This thread is for discussing EZ_DLC_Install, the tool used to install DLCs (from Nintendo or Hackers) into your gamesave for playing the game.
It does not create new DLC items (that is a much more complicated process, see above)

Thanks to all the EU and JP users who sent me RVFOREST.DAT files in the past. You no longer need to bother.
I can get the item data directly from the Nintendo servers.
Thanks to 'yellowstar6' for the wc24decrypt program, and Virus for the pointer.

(a furniture that looks like 2 Wii controllers - it opens and you can store stuff in it)
That locker is made of win.
We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in System software and IOS,
We shall fight on the updates,
We shall defend our homebrew, whatever the cost may be,
We shall fight on the preloader,
We shall fight on the bootloader,
We shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the twiizer Fleet, would carry on the struggle. We are the future of Homebrew.

I totally agree.
One of the better Nintendo DLC. Like the "red Pikmin" hat.
It promotes the brand. It isn't something you expect to be built into the game. Somewhat comical, which is needed in a year old game. It is functional.
A very good DLC. Kudos to Nintendo.

It is black friday, go out and buy a new video game!
Help out the local retailers. Help out the game makers. Stop the piracy!
The Accf.wikispace shows no new American DLC clue. Does this mean that the realease of offical DLC from Nintendo has ended and if so, what does it mean for the hacking community
