I'm not sure that the GameCube chest celebrates the anniversary of AC:PG. Why? Because the GameCube chest is being sent out to EU players, PLUS AC:PG was released in March or May. (For them) So IDK why they sent it. We'll find out once Nintendo updates their news page.
That's just my thought, but I could be wrong. :U
