A quick question, lets say the person I'm visiting had a red pikmin in their dresser. If I give them any of the new DLC items, will their game crash when they go to their dresser?

Not a problem. Lets say you didn't have the redPikmin DLC. Once you visit your friend and come back, check your gamesave (with EZ_DLC_Install). It will show you have redPikmin DLC now (whether you touched the item or not).
Ok good. The person I'm going to give the Light Sabre to is my cousin. If his game crashes, I'm dead meat. 0_o
