    The current version does not automatically detect the default palette for each pattern.

    This is a great start.

    I wish Nintendo thought about these things a little more. Nintendo should have added a separate game save for the patterns so we can back it up on an SD card and download a tool provided on Nintendo's site to edit them and then copy it back onto the Wii. Or even a feature at Able's shop where you can ask Mable or Able to import/export the patterns in the player's storage to the SD card.

    My question is: Who were the stupid Quality Assurance people that passed the pattern editing? Nintendo should have forced them to draw out a provided pattern to test if using the pointer is as good as they thought it would be or if an alternative is needed (like in the DS where you can use the directional pad instead of the stylus).
