The game already has hats, glasses and wigs that you can use to change your appearance.
Also try the *limited* "Mii" feature (put your Mii face on your player - but you will lose it if you put on a hat or glasses). Also check non-hacking forums for advice.

Hacking note: More advanced texture editing is possible with runtime 'codes' but it is a lot of work and won't be visible to anyone else.
This is unlike the NPC texture mods that are visible to everyone including visitors and the changes go with them if the NPC leaves your town. You can't do that with the DS version.

    > And now they only say one thing over and over and over again
This is a common complaint with AC:CF. I think it is the way the game is written.
Check regular non-hacking BBSs, for example:
    http://www.animalcrossingcommunity.c...sp?BoardID=152

Please compare to a non-hacked town, and if you can come up with a major behavior change, please email me the 2 gamesaves.
NOTE: the NPCs keep a database of relationships with human players. It is not being touched by NPC_Tool.

DsPet I was wondering on http://aibohack.com/wii/recess.htm did you just relink files in the ISO. I am guessing yet lol.

Even easier. Replace the sprintf string "/Npc/Special/Model/%d.brres" with "/Npc/Special/Model/##.brres", where ## is hard coded number. In RAM of running program (not a GAMESAVE hack).
Easy to do with WiiRD with 'poke'. 'hetoan2' on another BBS turned it into a 'code': http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.ph...22171#msg22171
(see post for trimmed down list, there are "44" special characters with unique models, only a few appear to come close to the NPC models)

Awesome, any testing with this and wifi?

Most of the other 3D model tricks don't work over WiFi (did something similar for AC:WW http://www.aibohack.com/nds/ac_cats.htm )
If someone visits your hacked town over WiFi, they see the standard graphics, from their game disc (and their country scheme). Good for taking screen shots and bragging, not much else.
BTW: the view of your town is country specific. For example if a Japanese user visits your English town, they will see everything in Japanese. The signposts will be Japanese, the NPCs will talk Japanese, and even the name of Nook's store will be Japanese (the game disc has country-specific graphics for this).

The exception is the NPCs. That's the big change in AC:CF. Since the NPC textures (and names) are stored in the GAMESAVE, they must be transferred over WiFi to a visitor's Wii when they connect to your town. Visitors see what you see.

Wait, so modified NPCs in this game will go to another person's town with the changed settings? If so, that's cool . I'm also wondering, if you changed an NPC for your save file, is that change permanent? What I mean is, I changed Pierce's texture and then he moves out. When I get another Pierce, will he keep the changed settings or will he have his original?
The two's, the zero's and the nine's. Guess what it means?

That's so cool . If changes aren't permanent like the example in my other post, I'm gonna turn everyone in my town into custom NPCs.
