You could find links and information in wiibrew.org website.
Hope that will help you to make the right decision.
Install preloader, or Run your game through GeckoOS it will, install the IOS's needed to play the game..
Update with latest HackMii installer. Then update. Fail proof pretty much unless Ninty themselves bricks ur Wii.
If you're on menu 4.0+, you can use StartPatch to block disc updates.
If you're on menu 3.4-, you can use Preloader to block disc updates.
Personally, I prefer StartPatch, just because it installs the patches you need without any extras that you don't need.
I would advise that you update to 4.1, which is, in my option, the best version of the System menu. If you want to use the shop channel, use this program to update just the shop channel.
But.... after you have used the latest hackmii installer, just update. Latest HBC still works after the update.
y so srs? lol >.> but yeah.. i think they answered your question.
i m pretty sure that no disc has an update to 4.2. Not yet. So im pretty sure. and thats the only one that completeley removed homebrew.
Can someone post the link to the site where I can get this new HackMii Installer, and then PM with instructions on how to install it? (Unless there's directions on the site)
I am such a noob at hacking, but I'll get up there someday. :P
Hackmii Installer
Directions on the site...just click "Install" on the top.
Ok so i think my homebrew is like 1.0.5 or something like that..so its safe from the 4.2. Wii Menu Update?
The latest one should be 1.0.6 (better version with fixes). And from the announcement, both 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 are good for 4.2.
