Reason why Nintendo WFC is down

Ok. I called Nintendo today because I was pissed off at being disconnected from WiFi all day long. I asked the what the problem was with WiFi and they said that they had shut down the internal WiFi system, not aware that they would be interfering with the games. They said that it will be back up "soon". What exactly do they mean by soon, I don't know. I'd estimate that based on Nintendo's track record, it would be 2-5 days. That's about how much time it took for them to start releasing consoles with dual-layer disc compatibilities after the problem with SSBB.

It Usually takes around 6-10 Hours I think.
I remember when they did that and I was playing MPH.

WFC still doesn't work for me in City Folk.

I can go out and host but it takes a while to connect

I get disconnected whenever someone tries to visit my town or I try to visit someone else's town.

Nintendo aren't the smartest people in the world ya know

Yeah. Nintendo should really stop hiring monkeys who don't know how to work with WiFi and take unnecessary risks which end up costing us in the end.

But once they get this Internet Play and games down, it will be awesome :D

Grr I just got homebrew and I haven't been able to show that many people my codes because of Nintendo. I remember this used to happen a lot more often back in the AC:WW days, usually once a month or more.

How can it void the warranty if the sticker isn't removed. If the warranty sticker isn't removed then if the Wii breaks you can remove the HBC and send the wii back Nintendo won't know you ever installed the HBC. If the Wii breaks to the point that it won't turn on then again Nintendo won't know and even if they did if you send it in saying its under warranty and the sticker is intact then 9 times out of 10 they wouldn't care if they found HBC on it considering they most likely will format the wii anyway.

You do know that removing the homebrew channel doesn't remove all traces of it? They even say that when you install it with the twlight hack. Nintendo will know that you had it installed.

If you format you're wii it removes all traces. If you send you're wii in for repair they usually format it anyway. Also they don't even check for the homebrew channel my friend sent his Wii in under warranty with the Disc channel moved and the homebrew channel in place of it and they didn't say anything. I have also read through enough threads on _________ forums to know that Nintendo doesn't even check for HBC (at least not yet)

Its the same with M$ send in you're Xbox 360 flashed with the sticker still (heat trick) and they usually don't care hell M$ sometimes doesn't even care if the sticker is removed.

but in the Wii`s TOS. it would be considering tempering with software.

But in the lazy Nintendo employees minds its to much of a hassle to check if you have it installed. If you have it installed and remove the channel they won't check to see if you ever had it (if you are stupid enough the leave the channel in sight though then they might say something). If the channel can't be removed because the Wii won't turn on (full brick) then they will just format the wii or replace it.

Yes but i read some where that Nintendo won't know if your tempering with the software so you can delete HBC and they won't know you installed it unless they check the NAND, so i doubt they will do that.

Well, actually. My argument is pointless actually. I dont see the Reason why my Wii will break soon XP
