It's a useless map of your town that you can drag around your screen. You can right click to save it as a jpeg image, though.
o nice, now i cn show my friends n acc how my town looks => nice idea
So when is beta 3 coming out?
What does it feature? I hope its window is a bit bigger so the whole map fits :)
he posted on the chat tonight.
Care to say what he said?
I love the easiness, lol. Much better than using WiiRD codes :)
> If you have modchip installed... mentioned before.
> Tachtig and Twintig seems to be the only way to use ACToolkit.
What problem you are seeing?
I'm using Waninkoko's Savegame Extractor exclusively now (works much faster IMHO, compared to the data.bin method)
I've tested it on a modchip Wii (real and burnt DVD), and a non-modchip Wii with the update installed (using the new HackMii Twilight Hack for install, real DVD of course).
All work great.
TIP: For me, sometimes the Savegame extractors get confused if you insert the DVD too late (ie. insert the DVD before running the Waninkoko utilities)
Of course there are different mod chips on the market, so you can expect different results.
BTW: If the problem is only the disc ID, that can be worked around (as mentioned above).
Another problem with Tachtig and Twintig is, I believe, they only work on Linux system.. or what I've seen of them at least.
Beta 3 is up. Thank DsPet for the awesome acre images. :D
Let me know if you find any bugs or problems.
Edit: Also, I plan on making the next release v1.0 final. No more beta.
sweet beta 3 rox!
hmm i think that wen u click the "x" to close it, it doesnt ask you if u want to save any data before closing it.
Thanks Virus! And thank you DsPet for the awesome acre images! ;P
Do you have any plans for what you'll be including in v1.0 yet? Just curious.
@Brownie
Read the changelog (in the readme). It only asks if you make changes.
@Summersett
The main addition to v1.0 final will probably be a house editor. The to do list in my first post contains features I will be adding soon.
**** nice job virus, I like the look of the town editor.
o alrite, just making sure, and u did a pretty good job with it. alot better than i thot it wuld b. keepup te good work =D
Also, is it safe to edit the wlls? like remove them and add land?
Pretty sure it is, the easiest way it to just experiment.
kk thnx for the response
also sorry if i ask to much, can we only put 3 bridges and 2 ramps in our town? or can they b thesame like in acww and have as many?i no there isnt much known yet but i am asking from whatyou know. thnx.
Do yo think that in the next version ucan put like in the last Animap, "Remove all trees, Remove all rocks, Remove all flowers" buttons? just an advice and question
> can we only put 3 bridges and 2 ramps in our town?
The old AC:WW limits don't apply. There may be new limits, but I haven't hit them.
http://www.aibohack.com/wii/teaser_acres_1.jpg
(4 bridges, I believe I had more earlier, 2 full waterfalls including the waterfall off the cliff and pool, a crazy number of ramps)
sweet, thnx
Ok i was playiing around with the gate acres. iaw that there was 2 acres with light green backrund (the bottom part of the town) does that men we can ut them at the bottom of the town?
> does that men we can (place gate acres) at the bottom of the town?
I never tried that (AC:WW had a problem if you moved the gatehouse too far down)
BTW: the gatehouse doesn't need to be on a gatehouse acre. Try placing it anywhere you want and see if it works. Use regular "Edit Town" to move the buildings.
Either move it away from the cliff, or remove the background cliff (with "Edit Acres"), and you can walk through the gatehouse North->South (it doesn't do anything but it looks cool).
But yes, in general you should be able to place most buildings in either elevation (and even in the limited dark green "very high elevation")
As always experiment, and if you find something cool, take photos or screen grabs of the acre map.
cool thnx. also one more question, so my nook and abls and museum and important buildings dont have to be oon the ace required? also can u repeat rivers and stuff? like the same of the NS river?
Also i got a question do u think this townwould work?

Great Job on the Acre Editor..
DsPet I still want to make my own animal :(
oo idk if u guys no this but in this game u cant walk out into the side acres, o might as well just leave them as walls. u can go to the northone tho. idk bout the south
sweet it worked. just adding the side walls.ill post final result
Beta 4 should be up in about an hour. It fixes a terrible, but not harmful, bug.
what was the terrible bug?
i found somehing, if u edit ur top walls, the ocean gets deleted on the editor wen u click "EDIT TOWN". yea... wont do any editing till that gets fixed cuz its pretty un accurate
That's the bug.
woo! i found it. but aftr u found it >.>. gess like ill get beta 4 tommorow cuz i hav to go to bed soon
So if you have no walls other people can't walk through them?
they can,but unlike acww the game camara wont go as far to he right or left, onl untill u c the edges of the regular walls. the difference with no walls is like barely nything
You can walk anywhere as well as others (I have already tested all the acre stuff online) Gatehouse can be anywhere I already moved it to the lower half of my map before acre editing was out. If you walk on the side of the map (barriers) then the camera won't go out with you so you can't see yourself.
I have done a few saves already a fully lowered map a fully raised map and some more all works great :).
Now the map editor needs to show how many spaces each building takes up ;).
Beta 4 is up. You can now disable the background too.
Virus any chance it can show how many spaces buildings take up, or does the code for buildings make that hard?
I plan on adding that in a future version (hopefully v1.0 final). I will have to manually count how many spaces each building takes up.
If anyone wants to help out, in the editor, place items in the spaces that the building takes up and take a screenshot of that acre.
is there a way to regrow grass where a house was or where a path wore down...? also how do i move the bricks from under the stores with the stores? I moved nooks but not the ground under the store.. now the house is repositioned but the ground is left where it was and its obvious i moved it
The cobblestone is part of the acre, so you will need to use the acre editor to fix that. I heard grass will grow back overtime, but I don't know if that is true or not.
If the grass does grow back we might see a WiiRD cheat pretty soon. Ill try and find out if it does and if so Ill look for it.
now i moved nook near able but the able acre in map editor is a normal acre even though there is cobblestone... i made the old nook acre a normal acre but cobblestone still resides... i than changed the normal acre to the new nook acre but it didnt auto detect where nook was and nothing changed...
The editor does not show if there is stone or not. Copy an acre you know doesn't have stone onto the acre with stone.
