how come we can't stream in patterns? You could on the Wild World version?
Just need a converter now. I looked into it but i dont think photoshop pat files will work.
I know I read that. -_-
It should be able to stream in the .pat files. Oh well. *shrugs*
It's still not working for me :(

That happened to me too... I just waited and it worked...
trying putting all of the patterns the program and the entire contents of the ruue01 into the pattern folder than try to edit save than copy the edited ruue01 files from the patterns folder back to the sd ruue01.. install to the wii and sii if it works
mybad looks like you tried that first...
Its simply because you're impatient and you click all over when its loading. How about just letting it load?
Either that or you're running 64-bit and you need to run in compatibility mode
If hes actually using vista, he may have to run as admin. Vista isnt idiot friendly and not everyone knows how to remove the extra crap it doesnt need.
New version coming alongside the next release of ACToolkit :) Some new features include a Pattern Name, Creator, and Town editor as well as a Fill tool in the pattern editor.
Yay!!! A Fill tool.
I need a town name change. I could do it in a hex editor if i knew the addresses. Ive done it on many a games by editing the hex values. Especially pokemon. Or you could add it.
Also have you decided on the safty of sign deletion? Or maybe a neighbor unlimiter?
You do realize this is a PattView topic, right?
I do now
I got new glasses and i cant see that well yet. just delete the post or w/e
I give up, I tried everything.
I waited more than an hour without clicking anything or even touching my mouse.
I tried to "Run as administrator"
I tried to run it in compatibility mode (I tried all of 'em from win95 to windows server 2003) and tried every option.
I tried it on different laptops and PC's with different versions of windows.
I waited...
and waited...
and wasted more time...
for nothing, so I give up.
I'm just ... stupid.
I'll leave :(
ya on some pcs the pat viewer does not work, On my laptop its fine, but on my desktop it runs up to 300mb ram and my pc crashes.
It may just be some pcs.
is there eventually going to be a thread for exported patterns for downloads.
Uh, there already is one.

Thanks I couldn't find it anywhere.
How about support for .dat files to transfer DS to wii? This of course would only be for normal patterns, not pro.
I'm pretty sure they're not layed out the same way in the DS game (DsPet can tell you for sure).
Upgraded to version 1.1 :) Happy New Yearrr!
Wow, getting better and better! This time, I had an idea about streaming in pattern files. I went to Animal Crossing Ahead and saved one of their patterns as .pat. This way the pattern had the grid lines and everything. It actually streamed it in, but it was just a huge mess.
EDIT: Oh, it was because they had the text around the image. I don't think you can edit that when it is .pat though.
alright creator and pattern name editor.. score! thanks vash
No problem! Any other suggestions?
Is there any chance that this could export a pattern to bmp like the NPC tool so you can make or edit on a PC? That would be awesome. Making patterns with the wii remote is so frustrating.
...There's a pattern editor in the tool.
For some people, it's kinda hard to use that editor, so maybe an image import to make it easier?
Thanks for the pattern tool, it's very nice. Yeah being able to import a 32x32 bmp would rule, but what we get with this is much better than using the wiimote!
Your right, its much easier then using the wii mote. Too bad you cant mix match pallets.
Bitmap importing probably won't make an appearance in PattView. I apologize.
There is one issue with this patt program. I dont know if its the ram or the cpu but it eats alot on some pcs.
I put the program on my SD card so it can easily go pc to pc. Now, on my laptop it loads up nice and easy. On my desktop it jumps the ram to 100mb for the process and the cpu jacks up to 99%, but its the only thing frozen.
The desktop has a **** celeronD and 512 ram on xp, and the laptop has a 1gb ram (only 892 in use) and a AMD Turion 64mobile, also xp both pro and installed from the same disk.
So im guessing this program is just cpu picky, because i dont think having 300 or so more mb ram would make a big diff.
I got a corrupted save when I used Pattview tonight. I edited a pattern that was not a Pro-Design but the pattern I made did have 4 pattern parts like a Pro-Design. Do you think that is what caused my corrupted save? Maybe if I had replaced a Pro-Design with what I created tonight it would have worked.
