camelrides, use the building placement function. make sure you're using ver 1.2.
Pimps, there is already a restore grass option. it's just not in the edit town section. it's in the "grass editor". go fig.

Will this help? http://www.aibohack.com/wii/accf_acres.htm
Would it be possible to add a friend code editor of some sort? Not the one that you get but your friend code roster/who you have in it.
> Also can anyone tell me if I wanted to put a bridge across A river I already have how do I know which bridge??
See the recommended page. The river segments are in groups. The ones with bridges are immediately after them (ie. add 4 or 6 to the acre code).
The ACToolkit descriptions are similar (decimal numbers instead of hex) so they sort a little differently.
It would be useful to be able to see the date of the last save of each player :D
The latest version's pretty darn good! The cobblestone seems a bit off, though, for my town... because I have a number of trees and flowers that overlap.
Rather than just say that, I've created an animated GIF of the problem acres: A-2 and A-3, the town hall and gate acres. Should be able to see where the flowers and trees are showing up where concrete is showing in the editor. Here it is.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...creteerror.gif
Notice the one flower in the group of five by the town hall, and... well, the tons of flowers and trees by the gate/fountain that overlap.
If you'd like, I can go nuts putting flowers everywhere in the acres that they can grow, then redo the GIF to show the spots that shouldn't be marked as concrete...
All in all, great application; two thumbs up! Hope the concrete is lined up better in the next release... and perhaps, an option to have rivers, concrete, buildings, etc... show up in the grass editor to help with figuring out exactly where to work with the grass :)
> The cobblestone seems a bit off, though, for my town
The cobblestone patterns are approximated by ingame data. They are only an approximation. The exact location of riverbanks (and ramps) may be off a little too.
If you want to help out by experimentally verifying all the cobblestones precisely (16x16 cells for each acre type), take a look here:
http://www.aibohack.com/wii/accf_acres.htm Starting at hex $6C there are only 14 of them with cobblestone (ignore every second one).
If you are interested, please send me an email and I'll send you the bitmaps (easier to edit than the JPGs on my site).
First off, let me start by saying that this is an awesome program. I bow at your feet.
I try to keep my actual game hacking to a minimum. For instance, instead of just giving myself all the Pave furniture, I loaded up my drawers with candy. (I know, sort of stupid, but I still want to experience the game.) I do use the program almost every day though to pinpoint possible fossils that I couldn't find and to locate the 2 furniture trees and any weeds I may have missed.
Now here is my question. One thing I have yet to be able to accomplish is to create the perfect snowman. My problem now is that there is very little snow on the ground. Will the Edit Grass option put snow on the ground, too? If so, how do I do this? Any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated. I just want to be able to make at least one perfect snowman before the season ends.
well you better hurry up with that perfect snowman today is the last day of the season
Thanks for the info Fvnfish and Limepooh. I guess I better be successful today making that snowman.
Possible feature suggestion: global checking... the ability to say, find all white pansies on map, then all get highlighted, and all can be removed or changed together. It would help in finding trees as well... other than having a separate graphic for each type of tree, a search function would help locate the right ones quickly.
Improbable feature suggestion: coding the application to run as a Wii homebrew application, cutting the need to use the PC out altogether...
Can anyone tell me the difference in grass 1,2,3?
Also on the turnips it has A list of those too.. but no other discription but turnips
Also I planted some festive trees and some work and some look normal.. kinda weard at first they all light up and then some light up?? any ideas
thanks
sandy
The difference in grasses is the geometric patterns in them; IIRC, there's triangles, circles, and squares... if you don't like how your grass looks, change the type.
For turnips, I see different numbers next to different sized stacks, then all the items marked "red turnip" -- that's a red turnip at various sizes, as if you dug it up after different numbers of days buried... changing its value. Is that what you meant?
Finally, "festive" trees really are meant to be lit during the holiday season; planting them outside of season is probably confusing the game. As it was, when I planted new cedar saplings in town, some became lit during the holidays, and some did not. Guess the town budget for lighting got spent...
---
EDIT: Speaking of grass... in AC:WW, I just noticed the AR codes to have "odd" grasses in that section of the forums here. Is it possible to have non-standard grass in AC:CF?
thanks for the info..on the turnips.. i don't see red turnips I see just turnip ..I planted some and they are red.. but my question is why so many listing of turnips.. but maybe they are different ages.. thanks so much
Well, in the game, there are stacks for white turnips of 10. 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100, the spoiled turnip, and then seven different sizes of red turnip; I'm not sure why everything is reading "turnip" on your end; I'm looking at Aibo's list at http://www.aibohack.com/wii/accf_items.htm myself.
In any case, there needs to be all those listings, as each is a separate item worth a different amount of Bells in the game... and of course, if you're playing the game normally and the item already exists in your town, it'll have the coding matching its size or age.
Thankfully, Nintendo didn't add any items that grow for longer than a week... imagine how many lines would go towards an item that grows larger over a month... o_O;
Hi Im new with this program. I was able to move houses, add windmill, add buildings with ponds. I would Like to try and add rivers and waterfalls.. but It Never fits. I tried to add an acre with one pond and just one corner of the square hung over the top level. So when I coulnt even put on square on right.. I sure wasnt going to try and map a new river and waterfall with different elevations.
My question is .. is ther a avideo or guide to doing the more intense work without total messing up your town.
thanks
sandy
Well, Aibo's web site really does a good job of explaining the acres; once again, I'll send you there.
http://www.aibohack.com/wii/accf_acres.htm
The trick is matching the elevations so that the acres blend together naturally. And as to "totally messing up your town", that's why the editor always reminds you to keep a backup of your town for safety's sake :)
I will have to try that..thanks so much!
Hello. I intend on downloading this program, but I would like to know if it is compatible on my computer (I am using an iMac) an answer as soon as possible would be very nice.
Hi I was trying to put gulliver ufo in and all I see a a patch of empty grass where I tried to put it.. can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong
thanks
No Mac version exists at the moment. A Mac version really should be made considering how popular the Mac is getting. If you're running Leopard, you should be able to use bootcamp to dual-boot with windows xp/vista...if you dont have any copies of windows, try using wine to run the program http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX/Installing
Did you start the day, then make a game save, then put the UFO down?
If you put the UFO down on a game save from a previous day, then started up, the clock moving from then to now would make Gulliver leave, and only the damage done from his crash would be left behind...
No I made a save then put gulliver on sd and then put back into wii and installed.
Any other Ideas??
thanks
where exactly is the option to place the UFO? I haven't really tried it yet. I probably passed it several times. >_>
It's in the building placement controls. I can't seem to place gulliver with version 1.2. I can place him with version 1.1, but it's tricky. You have to use a save from that day, clear the beach of shells, and place the ship on the beach for it to work. otherwise you get the invisible ufo building.
Glad someelse is having trouble .. has anyone on the list been able to place gulliver with 1.2?
thanks
I'm confused.. How do I get this application on my Wii??
Its an executable it runs on your computer :P
Ok I'm totally new to this so you're going to have to explain. Executable? What's that mean? So I download it on my computer and do what?
double or single click it. ;)
Muffin - this program doesn't run directly on the wii it runs on your computer. It works by editting a file (called rvforest.dat) that you have to get from your saved animal crossing game on your wii. So first you have to modify your wii so that you can copy that data from your wii on to your computer.
As far as Gulliver goes, you place him on the beach (so far the only place I've seen he shows up). Extract it to your sd card, put it on the wii, then clear up the spot on the beach where you put him or just clean up the entire beach. Extract the game save to your sd card with the changes (no seashells) put it on the puter, place gulliver again even though he should still be where you left him. Save that, then put it back on your sd card, into your wii thru gamesave installer, and there he is..I've got him on my beach, along with all the stands (the bug and fish guys) and the harvest tables..
Hi thanks I got it to work.. one more question. do the tables have to be on the beach also?? or can you put them anywhere
thanks
The tables can be anywhere.
I'd like to point out virus that paves background thing does not show up on the map when placed manually. (Since its not listed?Or is it now... i forget.)
according to zombiemom67 :
[[the hex code is AEBC..i've tested it out and it works great!]] (the new DLC item, GirlyTiara)
could u add that to ACToolkit please?
i'm pretty sure toolkit has a function that auto-recognizes new dlc. so you just need to go find it, and then you'll be able to make it.
