Thanx. If i had this sooner id have stayed on 4.0.
If i restore my old NAND would it put me back on 4.0?
Yes it would.
I actually updated to 4.1 on accedent. I dont know how far back the NAND goes though. Id have to extract all my saves and restore them after it.
4.0 and 4.1 are pretty much the same thing, I just wouldn't update to 4.2 it does nothing good. You can use wiiscu for 4.0 or 4.1.
Meh. I will. Id just update to 4.2 but i dont know if i will brick. I dont have the money to get my wii repaired.
Well, Im going to wait until either Nintendo stop the killer update, or wait until Waniko [Spell't it wrong I know] creates a custom firmware update.
I'm never doing any of Waninkoko's updates. No way, no how.
I'm going to wait until a newer better update is out.
That depends if they still decide to update boot2 again. After all the complaints they just got bombarded with, why would you want to? xD
Nintendo won't update boot2 again. Would be very dumb. Suspect they lost money on this update cause of thee Wii's that were bricked <_<.
So wait, does the new update not change the bootloader now? Or does it still change it to a new one?
No, we're saying that Nintendo might not update boot2 on the next update.
I thought when you updated all prior updates were part of it. So maybe 4.3 wont have the bootloader update in it.
Its a shot in the dark i guess. Really though, if nintendo didnt add the sd channel for games id probably have stayed on a 3.4 system.
hmm.. There is a TOTAL work around now.
To get trucha bug working again, use TBR (Trucha bug restorer) and Do NO IOS reload and Downgrade IOS15. Reload TBR and select IOS15 and go to IOS36 menu, choose YES to everything. reload, then select IOS36 to restore IOS15. Use anytitledeleter to delete all IOS above 200. then reinstall cios249 and have fun!
No one answered me yet. When you update firm it doesnt install prior updates as part of it?
That's already been answered. No.
Lol, Phpgeek at gbatemp released a preloader 0.30 installer.
Meh, well nintendo is going to have to do something pretty big for me to update ever again. I dont think there is much else they could do for the wii system menu. The SD channel was their best idea.
