¿Cuál es él que usted no entienden? ¡No estoy seguro que el método está documentado completamente en esta localización, para la seguridad razono para el público en general! ¡Si puedo sevir de alguna ayuda sienta libre de enviarme un mensaje!
You are not spanish, no?
I don't understand "coords" what is it? Also, I don't know where do I have to put the hex code to make a windmill
No I am not.
Coords is Co-ordinates I think your word is "Coordina"
As far as I am aware $90E85722 should be the windmill.
coordinates = coords ... There is no hex code for the windmill, or lighthouse. It has coordinates, which you need to change to put it on your map. You don't use a program to use it, you use a code or a usbgecko.
I don't fully get the whole thing either, guerrero but I think you will need to create a cheat code with the coordinates:
90E85720 90E85722
for the lighthouse and windmill. Use that code and add it to the GCT file using cheatcode manager. Then launch the game using GeckoOS. I don't make cheat codes so I've no idea how to properly create the code with both coordinates in it.
But then again, I could be talking out of my ***.
Ah!
OK, OK, but, my version is PAL... what are the codes for windmill and lighthouse?
I've heard that if you have a windmill, the special visitors come very often, and if you have a lighthouse, you'll fish more at night.
i wonder if i screwed the game up in that department getting both or if i can reap both benefits
could somebody please just post the method to get one or both of them in your town with the code and what to do with it?
I cant really figure out a way to do it based on what you guys are saying
i think you have to write a code with the lighthouse (90E85720) or windmill (90E85722)
in it and also a set of coords for you map so you can place it... then i think you have to save and open your save in the toolkit so you can fix the checksums and move it to where you want it
How do you determine coordinates to place the item in your town?
it really dosent matter.. use like XXXX (stick four characters in there) the important this is just to get it on your map.. tool kit can move it wherever you want it
Sorry, I just don't get it. I have a town with the lighthouse already, so then with the PC code manager I created a code like this:
90E85722 11110000
I have no idea what the second number is, I just made something up in hopes it was a coordinate to get the windmill put in my town. I used the Gecko OS program in Homebrew and it launched the game after saying that a cheat was applied. I extracted the save and loaded it in ACToolkit hoping to see a windmill somewhere, but it wasn't there.
Can someone please help me out on what I'm doing wrong?
ok, thanks.
So I've got to put this code into the Code Manager app, is the first field the windmill code? The 90E8572, and then the next field is a coordinate or are there two more fields of coordinates?
So would the code I put into Code Manager be something like this:
90E85722 1XXXXXXX 0000XXXX where I can put anything the spots of the Xs (letters or numbers)?
Ok. Based on what I've read from here, I tried this code:
90E85722 0000ABCD
I tried this (Game ID is RUUP01 as I have AC:LGTTC. However I suspect region wont affect the code as the save editors works fine on PAL format?) Anyways, after looking around to see if the lighthouse had been placed somewhere in my town, I seen nothing. What have I done wrong? Is it my region? Can someone help me see what I'm doing wrong? Also, I don't mean it as an insult, but can you please not give a vague answer? I will admit I'm new to Wii Hombrew so don't expect me to understand most things about it. :P

Sorry, runtime 'codes' don't work like that. You can't do it in one line.
Try something like:
4A000000 90E85722
02000000 0000XXYY
E0000000 80008000
The first instruction sets the address to 90E85722.
The 2nd instruction pokes 2 bytes (XXYY) into that address.
For building coordinates,
the "XX" value is the X coordinate of the building in the world map + $10.
the "YY" value is the Y coordinate of the building in the world map + $10.
Ie. the north-west of the regular town is XXYY = 1010
You can't make a general purpose 'code' from this. Every town is different, so there is no one safe location for a new windmill/lighthouse. You can experiment to find one that works for your town.
----
NOTE: if the runtime code uses an address in the 'gamesave' region like this one, it will work with all (known) versions of AC:CF (NorthAmerican/US, Japanese, EU/UK/Australia/PAL)
The gamesave region in RAM is 90E26BE0 to 91235F1F.
When using runtime codes, or a USB Gecko, you don't need to worry about checksums.

(now please stop asking ;- )
Thanks man. I tried the code out replacing the X&Y with 1010 as the north west of my town is just land. However, no windmill appeared. Does the 1010 signal the start of the town from the border/cliff starting or the actual inside of the town? (Top left at the end of cliff walls). Also, I tried a few other values but the windmill didn't appear in any of them. I'm sure I haven't done anything wrong in the PC manager as I put the code in then exported it as (gct I think?).
This is strange. The Gecko OS does say "SD codes found. Applying." =/
Its the very upper NorthWest slot...
Figured that, however trying out some different values has yielded the same results. Either I'm extremely unlucky with my values or for some reason the code isn't working. I don't see why not however.
Ok. So I did something a little drastic but eh. I made a backup and modified my town so it was all flat land. Removed all trees, ect. Anything that could stop it working somewhere. I then moved all houses all the way to the bottom right of the map. I then tried the code again with the 1010. Still not working? I wish I knew how this stuff worked. D:
Don't try only 1010. Try something like 2020 or 1818.
"1010" is very upper left corner (north west) of a normal town map. The actual building is larger than a single cell, so it may be clipped by the cliffs.
(or even better wait until ACToolkit supports it properly)
Also I believe you need to already have a windmill/lighthouse for it to work. There may be other tricks necessary to enable the coordinates (ask the original posters).
I tried 2020 before with no success but I'll give it another shot with my "empty" town. As far as I know you only need the lighthouse which I've already got but I'll ask the OP anyways. I'll edit this post with results from those coords.
EDIT: Both failed. I don't understand it at all. I have the lighthouse. I don't think there is any other requirement but I haven't heard from the OP yet so I don't know for sure.
Hmm... Ok. I think it might be the way I've entered the codes into the PC app now but I'm not sure. This is what I've got written in the .TXT file:
What I think MAY be the problem is that I'm using game ID RUUP01 so Gecko OS can detect it (LGTTC) However I'm not sure as DSpet said something about the region not mattering with region codes.Quote:
RUUP01
Animal Crossing City Folk
Windmill in Town
* 4A000000 90E85722
* 02000000 00002020
* E0000000 80008000
Places a functional windmill in Town.
Anyone who managed to get this to work if you can posting the .txt file would be a big help to see if my formatting is wrong or something.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the OP said he used a USB Gecko.
Can someone give me the coords of the bottom right part of my town?
You'll want to remember to leave a bit of space from that though as otherwise the lighthouse or Windmill will cut into the cliff which I think stops it from working.
I've tried multiple coords 1010,2020,3030,8080,9090, and everything in between. I used the code DsPet posted, with the 90E85724, and 90E85720 lighthouse addresses. I've been told both addresses for the lighthouse, and was willing to try both. No luck getting the lighthouse. I already have the windmill, even went as far as trying 90E85722, which is the windmill address. Tried moving the windmill, im thinking something else is required, because no matter what coords I put in the windmill remains in front of my house where its been since I put it there in actoolkit about a week ago.
Yeah - I'm having the same problem. I've tried the code and tons of different cords but the Windmill just won't show up. =/
Would it work with the find & replace code
Example : you put like 100 bell where you want to place it and with find you put 100 bell code and with replace windmill/lighthouse code?
anyway I think that the replace is only 4 things (XXXX)
is there an XXXX code for the windmill or lighthouse?
I couldn't get that code posted by Luigi to work in my game either. I'm not sure what is wrong and why this isn't working. :(
if there any code that allow you to change coordinates easly like changing an item into a coord or somthing like this because this code dosent seem to work
-if you know any alternate way to do this you can also say it to me ^^
Seriously, what the hell? I've seen you act like this to people before and all I can say is this - It's not cool to make people "fear" you or whatever you seem to like doing. If you're not going to help with the code, why bother posting about it? You got it working before, why not help the community instead of being high and mighty as you're making yourself out to be. Honestly...
I mean, DSPet, ect. Are trying to help us get it working, so why come in and kill the mood by calling it "tough luck?"
I really don't care if people "fear" me or not, I can also care less on what peoples opinions are about me. If you don't like me, tough ****, not my problem at all. Also compared to what I could've said to what I did say I think you'd like "tough luck" better.
The way I did it was actually using the USBGecko + wiird, not a code.
Edit: Here.
DSPet, you set the pointer, not the base address (ba).Code:42000000 90000000
02E85720 0000XXYY
E0000000 80008000
Then thank you for saying what you used. That helps because it basically means everyone who has managed to do this successfully has used a USBGecko so there is no official confirmation of anyone using a code successfully.
Also, I don't hate you or dislike you at all, I just don't like the way you sometimes say things to people that's all.
