I moved the 2 best Guitar Axes into their own permanent slots. That makes a total of 8 new items for the month of May.
You can share any of the 3 Guitar Axes with your non-hacker friends. Like the light-sabres, you have to giveaway the items. They are not catalogable.
I've added a few other test items to the test version based on suggestions. They are "OHDLC" and only available to hackers, but are candidates for permanent items. See details here:

How many DLC/HDLC has been released?
According to my .txt file there are 62 used slots total.
Not including patterns of course.
Official DLC_Install updated http://bit.ly/2mSQD with 4 new permanent HDLC: ninja sword, ash cap, falcon helmet, pikachu hat. Version .2 xx ("+4 HDLC")
These are permanent HDLC items (similar to the early test ones).
You can catalogue the hats and helmet (ie. your non-hacker friends only need to pick up the item and drop it and they can order it from their town's Nook). I think they may show up in Ables as well.
The ninja sword is like the light sabres and guitar axes (ie. not catalogable). You must give them away to your non-hacker friends.

In the future: As always, EZ_DLC_Install will be updated with any new Nintendo releases, but other than that I am not planning on any more HDLC items.

53 official ones from Nintendo (expect 2 more soon).
14 hacked item (slots). 7 permanent HDLCs and 7 OHDLC slots (which can contain different items, but only one at a time).
The work you do is AMAZING!! THose test items you made came permananet items so quickly!! I can't wait to share with others. I am sorry to hear that you are not planning on any more HDLC items.
Players that have played the game and done everything look forward to being the first to get these items you make. I have been playing the game only since February and I continue to be amazed by what you and others do!

A test item, the Folk Guitar as an axe. Looks too similar to the Country Guitar (GuitarAxe 2) so IMHO not worth a slot of its own.

Cool, I will check it out. Is there any drawbacks to the diilc tool? How is it to use?..pretty simple?
i don't really remember, but conanac lists the drawbacks...but so far it's worked very well for me and i haven't had anything unusual happen. and yea it's pretty easy to use. one thing about the korean pattern is that when you get it with the diilc tool everything shows up in english, and the pattern is called 'blank', so don't be surprised. other than that it's still the same and it looks really cool.
Download and use the newest version to get the right pattern name for KR region. Wendell will appear to the characters who have not been played for the day (similar behavior like the pattern DLC).Quote:

My point was.. that since it's not on the server, no one has it. So no one can say for sure if it's the same item or not. ;)

The 'life ring' is a built in item. Looks like it is a summer message.

The "FalcomHelm HDLC" is patterned after the core properties from the built-in 'wrestling mask' so this is not surprising. In its own slot (not touching the wrestling mask)
