Short answer:
First try the 2 year old: "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare", available on most platforms. Almost half the price used.
If you like it, then spend the $60 for the new version. There is a good change you will enjoy it.
If not, don't waste the money.
The new game is getting great reviews, but there are a few detractors (myself included):

Ah...I have tried "Call Of Duty 4: Modern WareFare" , and disliked it myself. Yet when I tried the new "Call Of Duty Modern Warefare Mobilized" I loved it. I don't know why the sudden change between the two.Quote:

If you have the new game, try playing the highly controversial airport terrorist scene.
Highly controversial. The graphics look great. The sound is good. They spent a lot of time on the 3D models.
But the gameplay sucks. You can't do anything different than the script demands.
Walk through the airport, kill zero, 1 or 100 civilians. It makes no difference.
Try to kill the bad guys, and the game cheats and prevents you from doing it.
Not a game, it is a movie (an immersive well done 3D movie), but a movie not a game.
to sum it up, 360 = much better.
I'm bumping this because I'm interested in knowing all your levels. *shifty eyes* :P
