Question DSPet, Dimentio Mask at Able Shop?

I just saw in GameFAQs, non-hacker town had Able shop selling Dimentio Mask HDLC for 120 bells:

Check out the photo link (mentioned in the posting as well):

    Everyone is wondering...

    Any insight is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

I guess the Able Sister's love my mask designs...

EDIT: Oh wait, 120 Bells? I guess that was a last minute decision...

I don't know about nonhackers... but I bought the clown mask from my catalog and it didn't overlap for me.
Plus the price is off, the clown mask is priced at 680 bells from able's and sell price of 160 from nook's. Just clever image editing + some BS.

its likely that it was just added to what the game will sell at the shop... (99% sure it does that...)

    No chance of overlap.
It is an edit of the clown mask graphics (BRRES file).
As far as the game is concerned, it has nothing to do with the clown mask.

It started as the "blue frames" item data, with custom graphics, a new item code ($CA0C) and DLC slot well outside Nintendo's normal item ranges. It has its own catalog bit too. It is shared with the other glasses/accessories (currently 1 of 3). More may be added in the future.

And now, Felix the Cat in my town is asking for Spinning Pokeballs HDLC. This is great, a lot of demand from villagers for nice man-made furnitures. I am looking forward to seeing the item in his house. Excellent!
