L+R apparently only use 1 byte. Every other combination is a hword. Just a heads up. Virus was explaining the other button combinations to me.

Left=DF
Right=EF
A=FE
B=FD
Start=FB
Select=F7
YY is the L/R status.
None= 03
L= 01
R= 02
Both= 00
A activator would be FE03
A+L activator would be FE01
