Type the item's hex code into the chat, submit the message, and press C+Down. Thanks to Maniac for porting the AC:WW Text to Item code over to PowerPC assembly. Only press C+Down while outside in your town! Pressing it anywhere else could cause unfortunate results.

Can this be done over wifi while you're in someone else's town?

I get an error message when i try to open the gates so i think it's blocked it's super cool though!!

You should be able to connect with the code enabled. I haven't tested it online yet, but it should work in your own town.

I used this real time world edit one time. Apparently I dont know how to use it correctly. The only thing the code does for me is, lets say I have some items on the ground when I walk or run across them they just disappear. They dont go in my pockets or anything just gone completely. I even put a hex in for a tree and pressed C+Down. Nothing no go. So if somebody could enlighten me how to use the code correctly that would be greately appreciated.

It works perfectly for me. Make sure you're using the right hex...
And it should work in your town over wi-fi

Well, basically you type (and send!) the hex for the tree (make sure you're using the right hexes though - 0000->0056 are Trees)
Once you've sent the hex press the activator and a tree should appear where you are standing.

This code works for me - it's uber cool! Just gotta get past the error on wifi
