OK, when you say your computer crashed, do you mean to the point to where you must restart it?
If so, I'm not really sure why it isn't working for you. No one has had their computer crash using Python before. O.o

Try running it as administrator. Maybe uninstall/reinstall? Also, maybe 3.1.2? Python 3.1.2
ive already tried 3.1.2 and unistalled and reinstalled all versions. still not working
