    I cant format it since its write-protected.

    use the micro sd adapter that came with it. One of them may look like this. (It is not the one that came with the Acekard though)

    Most readers will slide the lock switch into the lock position most of the time. (that goes for most older ones)

    The best solution I've seen, which it may or may not work, is to put tape around the switch. <- No joke.

    My friend actually had an issue where the disk was NOT write protected, but Vista insisted that it was. Pop it in any other computer and it worked, but we couldn't get it to do anything there... He ended up using a different card reader, and it worked fine.

    I'll just waste more money on a new Card Reader and I think that site was a rip-off because sadly, I didnt receive a USB Adapter like that. :/
