PattView 2.1 Help

I'm new to using PattView and I frankly am very confused in how to import images and then save them as patterns in your game.

I downloaded a pattern collection from DDD's site and opened them up with PattView, but when I went to save them to my SD card and install the save back into my Wii, all my pattern spaces were pitch black. So I went back and changed all of the patterns to Simple Patterns, then after I installed that save, ACCF said my save was corrupted and I had to install the backup again.

Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm very shaky since I'm new to this tool. I'll be able to provide any more information if needed to answer my question.

well when its pitch black, just click edit pattern in the game or go to able sister's and edit them there, and they should appear when u click edit.
